Nursing Assistant, Labor & Delivery
Job Description
Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Nursing Assistant for the Labor & Delivery Unit at Morristown Medical Center, to work 7AM – 3PM including every other weekend.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
- Assisting patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Administering basic treatments
- Helping to ensure a safe care environment
- Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
- Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum Experience:
- 1 year experience in Acute Care or nursing student preferred
License/Certifications:
- BLS preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant or nursing student experience preferred
